Based in North Beach, Maryland, Herrington on the Bay is an eco-lifestyle event design and catering venue offering an exotic escape for weddings and special events. For more than 30 years, Herrington on the Bay has been hosting celebrations of love overlooking the Chesapeake Bay. Celebrated for its waterfront accommodations, phenomenal sunsets, and beautifully manicured gardens, this destination will leave you weak in the knees and completely in love.
Facilities and Capacity
Herrington on the Bay offers two private waterfront wedding venue options as well as a brand-new rustic barn option. The first is the Herrington Yacht Club, with gardens, ballrooms, and a harborside patio. The maximum capacity for the yacht club is 170 guests. The other waterfront option is the Paradise Ballroom. This private coastal setting offers a pier, colorful gardens, and a tent structure to welcome up to 350 guests for a couple’s wedding. The tent features a white porcelain tile floor, a chandelier, and lighted ceiling drapes as a classy option for the reception. Throughout these venue spaces, couples will find waterfront ceremony locations such as pergolas and gazebos, as well as two-story indoor ballrooms with hardwood floors. The third option is a rustic barn located at the farm where Herrington on the Bay produces its produce for weddings. This spectacular tobacco barn can fit up to 150 guests and features authentic farm tables and wooden cross-back chairs. Overnight guests can travel just steps from the reception to lavish overnight accommodations at The Inn at Herrington Harbour. A wing of suites overlooks the wedding lawn at this resort, perfect for newlyweds on their wedding night. The Inn features a private beach with complimentary paddle boarding and kayaking. Choose from two pavilion spaces to host your rehearsal and send off brunch for a complete wedding weekend.
Cuisine
The venue's culinary team is passionate about cooking and aim to craft bespoke menus for each happy couple. From good ol’ Maryland fare to diverse cultural and fusion foods, their chefs delight our guests with fresh farm-to-table custom cuisine. You can also request gluten-free and vegan specialties.

Magnificent Venue
I worked directly with Taresa and Katie and they both went above and beyond to ensure that the day went off without any major concerns. Teresa is phenomenal and she did everything to make sure my daughter had her dream wedding, even running last minute errands. Both ladies were responsive, responsible, patient, organized, and made sure every detail was attended to. Their team completely managed the set up and break down, kept the evening on schedule, and Katie checked in with me throughout the event so I did not have to worry or stress. Katie and her team ensured there was never an empty glass or hungry stomach at the wedding.
I highly recommend Herrington on the Bay. I loved the entire experience. From the beautiful garden view to the breathtaking waterfront; the delicious food and amazing drinks; exemplary service and skilled personnel. The service was exemplary and as I reflect back, the day was close to perfect, thanks to the amazing team. The guests cannot stop talking about the service and the VIP treatment they received. Herrington gives you a taste of the tropics without the need to travel far. Their staff is wonderful and the atmosphere is perfect for any event.
